Business Administration - Two-Year Degrees
Business Administration - The Business Administration curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today's global economy. Course work includes business concepts such as accounting, business law, economics, management, and marketing. Skills related to the application of these concepts are developed through the study of computer applications, communication, team building, and decision making. Through these skills, students will have a sound business education base for lifelong learning. Graduates are prepared for employment opportunities in government agencies, financial institutions, and large to small business or industry.
Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management - Human Resource Management is a concentration under the curriculum title of Business Administration. The curriculum is designed to meet the demands of business and service agencies. The object is the development of generalists and specialists in the administration, training, and management of human resources. Course work includes studies in management, interviewing, placement, needs assessment, planning, compensation and benefits, and training techniques. Also included are topics such as people skills, learning approaches, skills building, and development of instructional and training materials. Graduates from this program will have a sound business educational base for lifelong learning. Students will be prepared for employment opportunities in personnel, training, and other human resources development areas.
